Karen Armstrong
DIRECTOR
Karen Armstrong has been the Owner/Director of Lollipop Lane for 33 years, with no plans to retire. She loves helping the children make great memories and lifelong friendships. The first 12 years she was an owner and teacher. Her hobbies are traveling, bowling and scrapbooking. She spends as much time as she can with all of her grandchildren!

Miss Judy
PRESCHOOL TEACHER
Ms. Judy has been at Lollipop Lane for over 5 years. She attended Chabot College and earned her Early Childhood Development certificate. She is married with one daughter, who is a graduate of Lollipop Lane. Ms. Judy is fluent in both English and Portuguese. In her free time, she enjoys barbecues with her friends and family.
Mrs. Johansen
- PRESCHOOL TEACHER
Jessica has been teaching preschool since 1998, She loves children, their innocence and their ability to always make things better. She also thinks they are hilarious and loves seeing their little personalities bloom! She has three children, two are Lollipop Lane Graduates. And her youngest is a current student!
Laurie Baum
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Mrs. Baum has taught at our school for 30 years. Her current positions are Assistant Director and Academic Coordinator. She creates curriculums for both our Preschool and Pre-K programs. She has 38 units in Early Childhood Development and has a Development Teaching Credential through the state of California. When not at work she is spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Inez
PRESCHOOL TEACHER
I am an experienced educator with 29 units in Early Childhood Development. I have known that I wanted to work with children from a very young age. Professionally I have worked with children from infants to teenagers. Currently I am enjoying shaping the lives and minds of the children here at Lollipop Lane. I feel blessed to witness the curiosity and imagination of children in my care.
Ms. Tamara
PRE-K TEACHER
Proud mother of two amazing children. I always knew I wanted to work with children. I started off as a nanny, then went to school and studied Early Childhood development to become a teacher. I love being able to help children learn and grow and see their joy with each accomplishment.Some things I love to do are spending time with family, traveling, and watching sports.
Lisa Dones
ART DIRECTOR
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Mrs. Dones has worked at Lollipop Lane for over 20 years. . Most days she feels like the Chaos Coordinator! and loves every minute! Both of her grown children are Lollipop Alumni, as well as her grand daughters! She hopes to never graduate from the happiest place in San Lorenzo.
Ms. Liz
PRE-K TEACHER
A little about me! My name is Liz Orozco. I am from Michoacan Mexico, I live in Hayward, since 2014. I love listening to music, studying, and reading books. I like to be friendly and helpful. I especially enjoy being with children. I remember that from a very young age I always said that I wanted to be a children's teacher. My goal as professional is that children can feel that they are protected and loved, and that they can enjoy their childhood. Also, I want to help them grow with confidence that they are capable of achieving all the successes that they will propose in their life.
Ms. Blanca
Preschool
Hi! I’m Blanca, and I’m excited and thrilled to be part of Lollipop Lane. A little bit about me and a fun fact, I’m a mother of two amazing boys who are now Lollipop Lane alumni. Prior to my boys I was in the education field for 6 years working with both school aged and preschool students creating engaging and nurturing learning environments. I hold a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State as well as a A.S. and a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Cañada College. I embrace these early fundamental years because I am able to foster the joy of learning through play and each children’s curiosity.
Ms. Gina
REGISTRAR
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Gina has loved being a part of Lollipop Lane since her children were students here. She is now the office assistant and works remotely as the registrar. She loves coming into the school to work when she is needed and is a fun favorite of all the students. Gina has 15 units in Early Childhood Education and an energy that is contagious; she loves to create a fun environment for the children.
Miss Vanessa
PRE-K TEACHER
Ms. Vanessa has been teaching at Lollipop Lane for 7 years. She has earned two AA degrees, one in Early Childhood Development and the other in Early Childhood Intervention from Chabot College. Ms. Vanessa became a first time mother in May 2020 to Isaiah.
Ms. Zoe
INTERN
I am a graduate of Lollipop Lane Preschool as well as Bishop O'Dowd Class of 2022. Currently I am attending San Francisco State University. I am working part time to gain work experience, in all aspects of early childhood developement. I love working with children and find them very entertaining!
